Romani can pass short notices from the owner's own tools on to the owner as a direct message - a second route for when their usual Discord channel cannot be reached. It is switched off until a key is set, and nothing changes for members.

Invite links
Joining no longer needs anyone to know your Discord ID. If you were given an invite link, open it: it shows how to add Romani in Discord and a code to send it with /join - or simply paste the link into a message to Romani.
The Discord account that sends the code is the one that gets access. Opening the link grants nothing by itself.
For the team: /invitelink (or the Admin page) makes a link with a number of uses and an end date, optionally with a plan for everyone who joins through it; links can be switched off at any time, and the team is told who joined.

Broken glass, a comedy skew - and effects for the webcam only
Broken glass: one crack right across the picture, a few finer ones from the same point, and the pieces of the picture sit slightly out of line - like a cracked screen or camera lens, with the sound of glass breaking. It can stay broken for a moment or to the end of the video.
Sound effects are quieter, and each one is now set against your clip's own sound: just under the loudest moment of your voice and game audio, so a quiet stream gets quiet effects and nothing drowns you out.
Skew: the picture leans and stretches along a diagonal, holds the pose and springs back - for the dumb moments.
Any visual effect can now happen on the whole picture or only on your webcam: "Redo: crack my camera when I rage", "Redo: glitch only my facecam", "Redo: zoom in on my face there". It needs a webcam in the clip; without one the whole picture is used and the preview says so.
With jump cuts, an effect that lasts now loses the part that was cut out, exactly as on-screen texts do, and the preview no longer lists an effect whose moment was cut. If you ask for an effect for longer than it can last, the preview tells you.
As before, effects are only in the enhanced version, and the preview lists each one with its time.
new20 September 2026
More effects: glitch, blur, negative, red, dim and rainbow
The enhanced version can now make the picture glitch - colour fringes, static and tearing, like a camera breaking or a signal cutting out - with a glitch sound to match.
Also new: a blur (out of focus for a beat), a negative flash, a red wash, a dimmed picture and rainbow colours.
Ask for them in a redo note: "Redo: glitch the picture when I say my camera broke". As before, effects are only in the enhanced version, and the preview lists each one with its time.

Plans: see what yours includes
/status and the Billing panel on your dashboard now spell out what your plan includes: clips a day, redos, scheduling, enhanced versions, ClipScore and long videos.
Groundwork for paid plans: tiers are defined in one place, a plan can run for a set time and ends by itself, and the team can adjust a single feature for one member.
new20 September 2026
ClipScore: a rating and ideas with every preview
Every preview now carries a ClipScore from 0 to 100 - how likely a stranger is to watch it to the end and share it - with marks for hook, payoff, pacing and clarity, and a one-line verdict. The judge is told to be tough: most decent clips land between 40 and 70.
Up to three ideas come with it. In Discord, paste one into Redo with notes; on the dashboard, press Try it.
It is an estimate from what is in the clip, not a promise of views.

Premium (in testing): a whole recording in, several clips out
Premium members can send a recording of up to 60 minutes - a link, a file, or through the upload page (up to 2 GB). The bot listens to all of it, picks up to 5 moments that stand on their own, and sends each one as its own preview.
Every moment is an ordinary clip from there: you approve, schedule, redo or reject each one separately. Nothing is posted without your approval.
Short clips you send while a long video is being worked on are still edited in between, and a restart continues where it was.
Premium is switched on by the team during the beta. /status and the Billing panel on your dashboard show your plan.
fixed20 September 2026
Fixed: a preview that arrived as a file instead of a video
If the bot was restarted while it was rendering, the half-finished video could be sent afterwards - Discord showed it as a plain file. Videos are now written under a temporary name until they are complete, anything found on disk is checked before it is used again, and updates wait until no clip is being edited or posted.
improved20 September 2026
Emojis: one bigger, one longer
A redo note can now single out one emoji: "make the eggplant huge and keep it up for 3 seconds". The others stay as they were.
An emoji that is held while the next one arrives moves aside instead of being covered.
new20 September 2026
Effects: zooms, shakes and sound effects
The editor can now punch in on a moment, shake the picture on an impact, flash, or go black-and-white for a beat - and add sound effects: a deep boom, a bass drop, a whoosh, a pop, a ding and a sad fail horn.
In the enhanced version, titles, the word being spoken and emojis land with a small pop.
Effects are an alternative, never the default: you get the standard edit, and the preview has an Enhanced version button (in Discord and on the dashboard) that shows the same edit with effects. Standard version switches back. You approve the one you like; switching does not use up a redo.
/style (or Style on your dashboard): how strong the enhanced version is - subtle or meme, or off to never be offered one - and which version you want to see first.
Or direct it: "Redo: zoom in with a boom when I die", "Redo: no sound effects". The preview lists every effect and its time.
fixed20 September 2026
Hardening after a stress test
Fixed: pasting many links at once could start more clips than your daily limit. If some don't fit, the bot now says how many.
Fixed: a damaged upload could show an error page instead of a plain "please choose the file again".
Fixed: a rare rounding case in jump cuts combined with a length limit could make an edit fail.
Hashtags you always include are matched as whole tags, and over-long ones are trimmed.

Just call it Romani
The site, the bot's welcome message and our e-mails now say Romani for short.
Nothing else changed: the bot is still called Romani Clip Bot in Discord and in the connected-apps lists of Google, TikTok and Instagram, and the full name stays in page titles, e-mail subjects and where the Terms and the Privacy Policy say who we are.
newimproved20 September 2026
Run the bot from your dashboard
Everything the Discord buttons do now works on the website too: paste a clip link (or upload a file), watch the finished edit, then Approve, Schedule, Redo with notes or Reject it.
The list keeps itself up to date while an edit or a post is running, and shows what was posted where - or what went wrong and what to do about it.
Connect, disconnect and switch platforms on or off from the dashboard, and change YouTube privacy and TikTok mode there.
Direct TikTok posts ask for your posting choices (audience, comments, disclosure) on the website as well, every time.
Discord and the website always show the same clips. A decision made in one place counts in the other, a video is never posted twice, and an old button can't approve an edit you have not seen.
Closed your Discord DMs? Edits and posts no longer fail because of it - your dashboard shows the same information.
new20 September 2026
Accounts: sign in with your e-mail and a password
Create a website account (username, e-mail, password) from your dashboard and sign in from any device - it opens your own dashboard.
Linking an account to your Discord user always asks for your password; opening a link never links anything by itself.
Forgot your password? Run /dashboard in Discord and set a new one within 30 minutes, or use the e-mail reset link.
Marketing e-mails are strictly opt-in, never pre-ticked, and every one has a one-click unsubscribe. Manage it under Account.
Under Account you can also download what we hold about you, sign out everywhere, and delete your website login.

A new website and your own dashboard
The site has a new look, a live demo of how the bot works, and a style playground.
New dashboard: run /dashboard in Discord for a private link. See your clips and watch previews in the browser, check scheduled posts, and edit your preferences, style and posting times without typing commands.
Suggestions and bug reports can now be sent from the website too.
new19 September 2026
Schedule your posts
Every preview has a Schedule button: type tomorrow 6pm, friday 18:30 or in 3 hours and the video goes out then.
Set daily posting times with /schedule and use next slot - approve a batch after a stream and they go out one by one.
Post now and Unschedule are there if you change your mind.
newimproved19 September 2026
Redo with real creative freedom
Redo notes can now change the look: colours, sizes, caption position, layout, title on or off, facecam, emojis.
Ask for jump cuts ("cut out the pause") and extra on-screen text ("put 'wait for it' at the start").
A redo builds on the previous edit and only changes what you asked for. You get four redos per clip.
If you ask for something the editor can't do yet (music, slow motion), it tells you instead of pretending.
new19 September 2026
The bot remembers how you like your clips
/preferences: title style, caption style, hashtags to always include, preferred length.
/style: layout, accent colour, caption size, emojis, maximum length.
When a redo note sounds like something you always want, the bot offers to remember it - nothing is learned without your OK. See or delete everything with /memory.
new19 September 2026
More places to send clips from
Links from TikTok, X, Kick, Streamable, Medal, Instagram, Facebook Reels, Google Drive and Dropbox now work, not only Twitch.
/upload gives you a personal upload page for video files that are too large for Discord (up to 500 MB).
improvedfixed19 September 2026
Fewer hiccups, and the bot fixes more by itself
Temporary problems are retried automatically before anyone is bothered.
You get a heads-up when a platform sign-in has expired - before you press Approve, not after.
Fixed: previews of phone videos were too large for Discord and never arrived. Large previews are now compressed for Discord; what gets posted stays full quality.
Restart-safe: previews, buttons and scheduled posts all survive a restart, and a video is never posted twice.
newimproved19 September 2026
Support and safety
/support sends bug reports, suggestions and questions straight to the team; replies arrive as a DM.
Sign-in tokens are encrypted at rest, backups run nightly, and old clips are deleted about a week after a job ends.
If a platform fails while posting, the others still go out and Approve retries only what is missing.
new15 September 2026
Open to more creators
Multi-user: everyone connects their own YouTube, TikTok and Instagram with /connect and gets their own previews.
Send a video file in a DM instead of a link.
TikTok posting with the choices TikTok requires (audience, comments, disclosure), or straight to your drafts.
new13 September 2026
First version
Send a Twitch clip, get a vertical short back: best moment picked, hook title, word-by-word captions, facecam layout, emojis.
Approve, Redo or Reject in Discord. Nothing is posted without your approval.
